Meat

Claybrook Farms Black Angus beef is an all natural product raised in Covington, TN on our farm. We have been able to remain natural through innovative and progressive management practices. Our cattle graze on Bermuda, Fescue, Red Clover, and Orchard grass. We avoid the need for pesticides and antibiotics by utilizing rotational grazing which allows 7 days on a pasture and 21 days off. This maintains grass quality, allows for manure fertilization, and reduces stress which limits sickness. Finishing feed consists of Claybrook grown corn and crop products processed for natural and effective weight gain. Also, to avoid the use of growth hormones, the cattle are not herded in mid-day heat and are never without proper feed rations. After slaughter, our beef is aged for 21 days in a humidity and temperature controlled cooler where it naturally dry ages for added tenderness. After aging, it is butchered, vacuum sealed, and flash frozen. From there it is transported and delivered to our wholesale clients and countless retail customers in a refrigerated and USDA inspected delivery truck where the beef remains frozen. Our fine-tuned and strategic breeding has resulted in consistent, tender, marbled, and flavorful beef, a product that is unmatched by our competition. Tasting is believing.
